Pre-Irish  

Ages 3-5   

Pre-Irish Plus  

Ages 3-5; dancer has already taken Pre-Irish and is ready for more advanced work   

Beginner Irish Plus

Age 6; dancer has already taken Pre-Irish or Pre-Irish Plus and is ready for more advanced work    

Beginner Irish

Age 6 and older; all dancers new to Irish Dancing first take this level; classes are offered and organised around age.   

Beginner Adult Irish

Older teens & adults  

All of the above classes are soft shoe.


 Once dancers have taken Beginner Irish, they’re ready for hard shoe. Classes below include both soft shoe and hard shoe in the same class.

Junior Irish 1

Age 7 and above; dancer has taken Beginner Irish or Beginner Irish Plus and is ready for more advanced work.     

 

Junior Irish 2

Age 8 and above; dancer has taken Junior 1 and is ready for more advanced work. 

 

 

Junior Irish 3

Dancer has taken Beginner Irish or Junior Irish class and is ready more advanced work; classes made up of older dancers at this level. 

 

Intermediate Irish 1 & 2

Dancer has worked through the Junior levels and is ready for more advanced work.   

 

Advanced Irish

Already taken Intermediate Irish and ready for more advanced work.   

 

Adult Intermediate Irish

Older teens & adults who have already taken Beginner Irish and are ready for more advanced work – soft shoe & hard shoe   

 

 

SSDC Grads/Advanced Adult 

Current SSDC students who would like to continue dance after they have graduated from high school. This class is also for adults who have worked through the adult levels and are ready for more advanced work. 

 

IRISH FEET DANCE TROUPE

Junior Performance Troupe consisting of dancers usually at the Intermediate Irish level. Dancers take two Irish dance classes per week - their regular class PLUS a performance class.   

 

CELTIC DYNAMIC

Senior Performance Troupe consisting of dancers usually at the Advanced Irish level. Dancers take two Irish dance classes per week - their regular class PLUS a performance class.
